Historical Fact-Based Fiction: An intertwining tale told to a granddaughter on the day before the Independence of Fiji from Britain, by an Indentured Labourer who come to Fiji during the 35yr period Indenture Era. The era and system was one of Institutionalised slavery.

 

Those who lived through this terrible time in the 35 years history of Fiji have been too ashamed to talk about it and too affected by it that they would rather have everyone forget what they had to endure.
